Allura® combines cutting edge laser technology with tried-and-true traditional liposuction techniques to contour the neck and achieve lasting rejuvenation.
The procedure involves three key steps
- Carefully liquefying the excess fat in the neck and chin with the Sciton™ Allura® laser probe via minimally invasive techniques.
- Removing the fat from the neck and chin via liposuction.
- Tightening the skin’s deep surface via laser-produced thermal energy to contour below the jawline.
The procedure does not require anesthesia and patients can drive home immediately after. To reduce swelling, patients are asked to wear a compressing dressing overnight. One to three small ports are hidden in the skin creases to allow for laser probe access and to heal imperceptibly. Finally, massaging flowering plant extract Arnica Montana, taking non-steroidal medications like ibuprofen or Tylenol, and icing is helpful the first week to reduce swelling and achieve a rejuvenated result more quickly.
